The Germguardian AC4100 is one of the smallest air purifiers that Guardian Technologies, the Ohio based company, have produced to execute specific air purifying tasks and which is ideal for people that don’t want to spend too much money on air cleaning operations and/or for those that worry too much about their minimalist interior design.
The 3 stages filtration system
In order to effectively clean the air of a room, the Germguardian AC4100 operates with 3 stages of air cleaning.
First, allergen particles emit in the air like pollen, dust mites and pet dander
are captured by the HEPA filter. This filter has the ability to capture up to 99% of these allergen particles.
Second, a photocatalytic oxidation technology is responsible of decomposing odors like cooking and smoke fumes. This technology is present on the charcoal pre-filter.
Lastly, germs and bacteria are destroyed by the Ultraviolet light that, according to the manufacturer, is capable of killing E. Coli and streptococcus.
You can guess by the AC4100’s price and also by its small size that it is made for small size rooms. On its specifications it is said that this air purifier is a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) rated one and is suitable for rooms up to 200 sq ft, but it made some customers skeptical because of its size and it is recommended that you use it for a maximum 60 sq ft instead in order to clean your room more efficiently.
The AC4100 Design
The compact and minimalist design of the Germguardian AC4100 is what attracts many customers from the first sight when besides other air purifiers. Made of plastic (Weighs only 4.85lbs.) with very simple lines, it looks like a modern speaker and can easily blend with any modern interior design.
It is also called table top air purifiers, as it can be put on any table, whether it’s on your desk, your bed table, or even on your bookshelf. Another great design point is that the AC4100 could be placed vertically or horizontally and start purifying your room right away. The UV-C lights could be turned On and Off, and to control the purification speed, a rotary dial is put right where it should be.
